ELEVATOR SMOKE PROTECTION - STANDARD AND CUSTOM
In combination with the fire-rated doors used in nearly all elevators, our elevator smoke containment curtains provide comprehensive and code-compliant smoke and draft opening protection. These units are easy to install in elevator openings and integrate seamlessly with existing fire protection systems to quickly bring a structure up to code.
VERTICAL SMOKE CURTAINS
Vertically deploying fire and smoke rated curtains are an economical choice for openings. This solution works well for atrium separation, openings in walls, and for specialty enclosures where smoke protection is required.
HORIZONTAL SMOKE CURTAIN
The Smoke Guard M3000 is a fire-rated assembly designed to function as a horizontally deploying opening protective between floors. Horizontal curtain deployment allows designers to compartmentalize large spaces such as atriums, drastically reducing or even eliminating mechanical smoke evacuation systems.
CUSTOM PERIMETER SMOKE CURTAINS
Smoke Guard’s M4000 fire-rated curtain does not require corner support posts and is the ideal solution for vertically deploying perimeter curtain applications. This type of fire curtain can shield staircases or escalators from smoke and flames, or provide a reservoir for smoke on the upper floors of an atrium or other open space. This perimeter curtain can be an effective complement to existing mechanical smoke and fire containment systems or additional fire curtains.
The Smoke Guard Model 4000|perimeter (M4000) is a code-compliant fire-ratedassembly designed to function as a vertically deploying opening protective requiring no corner posts.This perimeter curtain may be configured in a closed,box-like, condition or in a multi-faceted open-ended configuration with or without side-guide captures.
The curtain panel angle may vary from 30° to 150°. The M4000 features fire-rated pleated curtain mountedwithin a steel housing. The curtain assembly can be equipped with an obstruction sensor in the bottom panto detect impediments to the deploying screen. M4000 comes in a standard galvanized finish. RAL powder coat color options are available for an additional charge.
FIXED OR DEPLOYABLE DRAFT CURTAINS
SG Draft is a cost-effective, static curtain strategy for warehouses, aircraft hangers, and manufacturing environments, used in both sprinklered and non-sprinklered buildings for automatic smoke removal. Draft curtains channel the ceiling jet away from the fire and out of the building via roof vents either to automatically remove the smoke or to delay sprinkler activation.
